Our work

We are a small, Canadian, grassroots organization working to support and empower children with disabilities (and their families) in the global south (“developing countries”). Founded in 2001, we have been working primarily in Peru for over 20 years.

You can learn more about the needs and why we do what we do here.

Our work focuses on the following interconnected areas: the provision of assistive technologyAugmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) serviceseducation and awarenesshuman rights promotion; and support services.

Each year we provide specialized custom-fitted wheelchairs (as well as other devices) to over 50 children in need from the southern regions of Peru. We also hold over a dozen workshops for families, professionals and community members, in an effort to provide crucial information to those who need it, and to build connections between individuals and organizations. In addition, we provide ongoing support and assistance to dozens of families and organizations working with children with disabilities throughout southern Peru.
