Donate:
We are a small, grassroots
organization and we depend wholly on the support of individuals
and organizations in order to continue and improve our
programs.
Click our DONATE NOW
button to donate online (tax receipts valid in Canada only). Or,
see our
Donations page for information on how you can donate
via cheque and for information on donations from the United
States (receiving a valid tax receipt).
There are many ways to you
can raise funds towards your contribution. How about organizing
a car wash, garage sale, a craft/bake sale or a party and
donating the proceeds to Equip KIDS.
Note: We are
currently putting a sponsorship program in place, whereby
your monthly contribution will be directed to sponsoring a
particular child. Through this program you will receive regular
updates about the child, and you may exchange letters with the
child and his/her family. If you are interested in finding out
more about this program, please write us at info@equipkids.org
Donations of assistive-technology equipment (new or used)
are also greatly appreciated and highly valued.
Spread the word:
The easiest way to help is
simply to spread the word. Tell friends, family and colleagues
about the reality for children with disabilities in developing
countries. Tell them about our goals, hopes, our website address
and our blog.

Volunteer:
Are you a physiotherapist,
assistive-technology practitioner, occupational therapist or
speech- language pathologist? We could really use your help! We
work with professionals looking for overseas volunteer
experiences, as well as those wanting to help out from home. We
are currently in particular need of professionals who are fluent
in both Spanish and English, in order to help with the
development and translation of educational materials.
Participate in Events:
Become involved in one of
Equip KIDS International's exciting and innovative events.
The
Incan
Challenge is a 9 day trip to Peru, where you will
discover the people, food, music and incredible sites of this
wonderful land. You will trek the famous Inca Trail to Machu
Picchu, while raising awareness and support for children with
disabilities. And, while in Peru, you will get a chance to meet
the children your efforts will support. Space is still available
but limited for this year's trip (October 9 - 17, 2010), so
write us for more information soon.
Other upcoming events
include our participation in the Unite for Sight Global
Health and Innovation Conference (April 17-18, 2010 at Yale
University) and the
Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (September 26th,
2010).
See our
Events page for more information on these and other
happenings.
